Today we plan to talk more in depth on anavar. Anavar is one of my favorite steroids for a few reasons.
One of the reasons is the fact that it’s incredibly safe to use for not just men but women alike. also despite what many may say it is not very toxic, not very androgenic, and mildly anabolic, and pretty mild on the body’s HPTA (Hypothalamic-Testicular-Pituitary-Axis). Those are its 4 major points.
Another positive aspect I love about anavar is the fact that not only does it build strength at a rapid pace but you CONTINUE to make progression. Let’s say you do an 8 week cycle, you will continue to make dramatic strength gains all the way through the cycle. It’s also perfect for those not wanting to put on “huge muscle” but can easily add between 8 to 15lbs of LEAN muscle mass.
And unlike many steroids it HAS been proven to have fat burning properties, meaning you can use this drug on a bulk or cutting cycle to a great degree.
Another positive aspect of this anabolic steroid is the fact that it can be cycled with almost any other steroid, deca, testosterone, tren, etc. It’s perfect for anyone.
Powerlifters and olympic lifters LOVE this drug and is it really that hard to imagine why? MMA athletes are also huge fans and I’d go as far as to say at least 85% of the UFC will be on this drug. It has so many positive benefits it’s, to be frank, unbelievable.
Now remember I spoke about those main benefits this steroid had above? Well, I’d like to examine each one a bit further; as usual, gym-rumors and internet conjecture has made this steroid the subject of many misconceptions.
Anavar (Oxandrolone) Side Effects
First of all, and this will come as no surprise to many people, Anavar is, as mentioned above, not very toxic and quite mild on your liver. (Yes, another positive aspect! Does this drug have anything negative going for it?) It’s probably the mildest oral steroid available today. Dosages of up to 100mgs/day are easily tolerated by most men, and most side effects often found with other steroids are not common with anavar. For this reason, Anavar is frequently the steroid of choice for many top level female bodybuilders and other athletes.
Now let’s take a look at the type of dosages you can think of taking if you choose to use Anavar as your steroid of choice.
Due to its being a mild steroid in every sense of the word, high amounts of Anavar dosage are, of course, needed. It binds reasonably well to the AR, but pretty high doses are still needed and I would never suggest doing less than 20mgs/day. In fact, 20-80mgs are needed to start halting AIDS related wasting. and recovering weight for burn victims (2) so thats the range Id recommend keeping your dosages in concerning this compound. Personally, Id use 100mgs/day and I’ve used up to 150mg daily with little to no side effects and extreme muscle and strength gains. In fact, a small story, but one of my athletes used this at 10% body fat. We dropped him down to 6% body fat with 12lbs of lean mass gained. Not only did he look huge but the vascularity of it was, to be quite frank, AMAZING!
Now any less than this amount (20-100mgs) would be a waste for most men. For women, however, I think 10mgs/day would suffice and a build up for the more “pro athlete” of up to 20mg daily can give ridiculously dramatic effects. I know one girl who went up to 30mg she did have a slight change to her voice but it didn’t deepen it or do any real negative effects. But she was able to add insane muscle. But one of the things that really impressed me was not just the fact she was able to, over 12weeks, add 20lbs of lean mass– It was the fact that she actually LOST about 13lbs while bulking! Granted her diet was perfect (in which in needs to be while taking Anavar) but still, this is a very, very impressive number. Virilation is not a concern with this compound, as it is only very mildly androgenic. Water retention is also virtually nil with it. Again, you can see why this drug is loved so much.
Although Anavar is an oral steroid, and has been alpha-alkylated to survive oral ingestion and the first pass through the liver, it’s still relatively mild in that respect too. The unique chemical configuration of anavar both confers a resistance to liver metabolism as well as noticeable anabolic activity. It would also appear that Anavar appears not to exhibit the serious hepatotoxic effects (jaundice, cholestatic hepatitis, peliosis hepatis, hyperplasias and neoplasms) typically attributed to the C17alpha-alkylated AASs. Anavar has even been used successfully in some studies to heal cutaneous wounds , or to improve respiratory function . Both of these novel properties could make it a good choice for in-season use for boxers, Mixed Martial Arts competitors, and other such athletes.
