Kru Mark Jones

Mark Jones is "That Deal." Considered one of the most well-rounded instructors of the Black Feather Fight Team to date, Mark's career spans over 13 years of experience in multiple fighting systems and various disciplines of the martial arts.

  His background includes: Arnis, Boxing, Capoeira, Judo, Jujitsu, Kickboxing, Krabi Krabong, Krav Maga, Muay Baron, Muay Thai, Taekwondo, Wing Tsung, and Freestyle Wrestling. A former top rated amateur boxer, Mark was the 2007 Metro Detroit Golden Gloves Tournament Finalist in the Middleweight division. He has competed at both the state and regional levels with numerous grappling/submission fights to his credit as a tournament sport competitor with both the North American Grappling Association (NAGA) as well as the United States Judo Association (USJA). As a Muay Thai fighter, Mark was previously the #3 nationally ranked Junior Middleweight fighter in the Semi-Professional League of the United States Muay Thai

With his certification by Black Feather, Inc., Mark has worked extensively with the Military, members of the Law Enforcement community, as well as the general public, instructing them in intermediate and advanced techniques in personal protection and self-defense. Mark is also a registered member of the National Rifle Association (NRA). In addition to being a certified boxing coach through USA Boxing, Mark holds the unique distinction of being 1 of only 10 people in the world ever certified by Kru Suuan Mikhal Caldwell in the "Black Feather" system of Muay Thai.

Mark Jones is currently the Head instructor for Black Feather Camp - EAST in St. Clair Shores, MI where he instructs in Boxing, "Combat" Conditioning, Kickboxing, Muay Thai, Self-defense, and "Striking Improvement" for Mixed Martial Arts. As both a competitor and fight instructor, the future looks very promising for Mark as Mikhal has so dubbed him the "Heir Apparent" to the Black Feather Fight Team.
