Kru Dave Freetage

Kru Dave Freetage began his Muay Thai training in 1994. From 1994-99 trained under the legendary Richard Bustillo, 1999-2011 trained under Kru Walter Michalowski, and in 2012 began training and was certified by Kru Rick Caudle. 
Dave has competed in and won many fights/matches/tournaments over the years in Muay Thai, MMA, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Kali. Dave's competition victories stretch over a 17 year period. Some highlights are: 
*East U.S. Region Kali Champion 1997
*National Kickboxing Champion open class 2000 (ABA)
*Arnold Classic full contact Sport Jiu-Jitsu Champion expert division 2001
*From 2001-2011 many grappling titles from OGC, NAGA, AKJU among others
*Also had a 7-1 Muay Thai record during that same stretch 
*Fought in MMA, Pancrase, full contact Jiu-Jitsu during those years
*Can-Am Olympics No-Gi lightweight champion 2011 
*BJJ Arnold Classic 2012 brown belt absolute title
*2012 Police/Fire Olympics Lightweight Grappling Champion. 

Along with being a Muay Thai Kru, Dave also has a Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (Arthur Ruff), is a Full Instructor in Jeet Kune Do (Richard Bustillo), and has a Black Belt in Kali/Doce Pares (Canete Doce Pares).

Dave owns and is the head instructor at Grove City Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Academy, in Grove City Ohio. He is also a Columbus Police Officer and certified master defensive tactics instructor. Along with working the streets as an officer and teaching officers at the police academy, Dave is focused on training the next generation of martial artists and a competing for a few more years.
