Founder of USMTA AWARE Arjarn Richard Sniffen | The USMTA AWARE program was founded by: Arjarn Ric Sniffen. The AWARE program was developed in 1988 for Self-defense training. AWARE stands for Alert Women’s Awareness Response Exercise. This program has successfully worked in two states, Oklahoma and Texas. At this time because of a merger between The (United States Muay Thai Association), and The (Native American Muay Thai Association) all rights to the AWARE program now fall under The United States Muay Thai Association. Through negotiated talks with Arjarn Clinton Heyliger and Antonio Guy who structured the (Unified States Muay Thai Association AWARE) program, this program is now going to be instilled in New York. |

| We believe that in the past our Military, and Civilian personnel who fought and died for the privileges and rights that we now have under the Constitution of the United States be honored by giving back to our communities were some of there Great Grandchildren and Children now live. We wish to give this program free to all, for they died freely defending our rights we now give freely back. We also intend to honor the individuals that lost there lives in the September 11th Attacks. We are not setting up a fund for 9/11 we will in conjunction with the loved ones of those that lost their lives be dedicating certain Fund Raising events, utilizing Thai Boxing and other forms of Martial Arts which the AWARE program trains our students in. We in conjunction with certain organizations will be putting on Martial Arts Demonstrations and Thai Boxing events to raise funds for the program so that the program can be self-sufficient. |

| We hope to build ¾ or ½ way housing for all the Women and anyone that can not go back to their homes because of abuse. This program will be organized with Rape and Domestic Violence Organizations so that counselors are located at these facilities we also will have accommodations for their Children. If a women who has been in a situation of abuse starts to go into a re-entry phase at one of our programs. A Tiny Tots program for Children will be instilled at our facilities so that after school these children will have a place to learn physical fitness, have instructional games, and role play on how to avoid potential abduction situations. This program will also be offered to the general public and schools. A abused parent will feel growing concern for the protection and safety of their children. Because after a person has suffered an assault, they are not likely to trust anyone with the care of there children. | |
